INSURANCE POLICY ADMINISTRATION, IMPLEMENTATION AND SUPPORT

The customer is a technology and solution provider in the P&C Insurance domain. They did a technology migration from their legacy policy administration product to a Microsoft .NET based solution. The vendor who did the migration and was responsible for the subsequent support was extremely expensive for the customer, who found it dicult to justify the ROI for the technology migration. Moreover the time to implement the solution for the end clients by the vendor was becoming a concern for the customer.

SOLUTION METHODOLOGY

NeST Digital devised an IT solution that had three major phases:

  • Deploying our engineers at customer site and forming a team of developers with P & C domain expertise offshore to learn the product. Since we had extensive experience in policy administration solutions in the Personal lines domain, this was an easy task.
  • Take over the support responsibility for new implementations in personal lines from the original vendor. In less than 6 months after partnering with us, the customer could see the development timelines come down to less than a month and overall time to market to less than three months for all new implementations.
  • Forming dedicated oshore support teams for each end client of the customer so that the production support and enhancements were also being taken care by our team.
